United Nations Chinese Language Program Getting Interactive with Diplomats
Over 100 United Nations Diplomats and Staff Signing up to Utilize Cutting-Edge Interactive Multimedia Language Program.
New York, NY, June 25, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Over 100 diplomats and staff members at the United Nations’ New York headquarters have signed up to learn Mandarin language by using the multimedia program developed by ActiveChinese, Inc., the San Francisco and Shanghai based developer. The program allows the U.N. personnel to study Mandarin for personal use, or to equip them with the language and cultural skills for present, as well as future, China-related assignments.
Dr. Yong Ho, the head of the Chinese Language Program at the United Nations (unclp.org), chose ActiveChinese not just because of the scope of the curriculum and the animated presentation, but also its mobility. “Although our U.N. Chinese Language Program has a deep reservoir of reference material, U.N. personnel need a compelling online environment in order to study this difficult language.”
