Crow and Harms to Present Compliance Week Webinar
Memphis, TN, June 26, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Mercer Capital professionals Matthew R. Crow, ASA, CFA, and Travis W. Harms, CFA, CPA/ABV, will lead a complimentary webinar on Thursday, July 31, 2008, offered in conjunction with Compliance Week magazine.
Crow and Harms will present "Getting Ready for SFAS 141R, Business Combinations," which will provide an overview of SFAS 141R and explore the valuation implications of key provisions of the new standard.
FAS 141R, Business Combinations becomes effective in 2009, bringing significant changes to the fair value accounting procedures for mergers and acquisitions. CFOs and other financial executives need to understand how the new standard will potentially affect deal structures and reported earnings. Consistent with the FASB's broader push toward fair value, SFAS 141R replaces the purchase method framework with the acquisition method.
The complimentary webinar is scheduled for Thursday, July 31, 2008, at 2:00 p.m. EDT and runs for one hour. To register, visit the Compliance Week website by clicking here.
