Kansas Alum Joins NSCS Staff
Washington, DC, June 27, 2008 --(PR.com)-- University of Kansas alum Colleen Grosch is the new regional manager for Midwestern chapters of The National Society of Collegiate Scholars (NSCS). NSCS is an honor society inviting high-achieving freshmen and sophomores, and has 650,000 members at 230 colleges and universities across the United States.
Grosch is Manager, Member Engagement for NSCS chapters at universities in Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota and Iowa. She will serve as the point of contact for chapter officers and members at the local level, and work with students on several programs and events including NSCS’ “I Stand for Integrity” Day, March to College Day and the annual Le Apply adership Summit and Convention.
Grosch attended the University of Kansas, where she studied journalism and graduated in 2006. Her involvement in student leadership positions at Kansas led her to a master’s degree in Higher Education from the University of South Carolina. While at South Carolina, Grosch worked in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions, served as an Alumnae Advisor for her international sorority, and worked closely with the LeaderShape Institute as a Summer Program Coordinator.
“We’re glad to have Colleen on staff,” said Stephen E. Loflin, NSCS’ Executive Director. “She brings methods learned in higher education positions across the country, and she will serve our members, officers and advisors well.”
