Dawah International, LLC Introduces Prisonworld Records and Prisonworld BlogTalk
Dawah International, LLC, a Multimedia Company expands its brand with a new record label and interactive blog.
Powder Springs, GA, July 02, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Dawah International, LLC, a multimedia company, publishes Prisonworld Magazine, www.prisonworldmagazine.com, and is now expanding its Prisonworld brand to Prisonworld Records and Prisonworld BlogTalk. “The magazine has really carved a niche for us to be able to do things in a non-traditional way for a non-traditional audience. We are talking to so many people, free and freedom challenged, networking, spreading information, encouraging and giving a positive and uplifting vibe. The momentum is gaining and it’s not just inmates that are listening. The general public is listening and looking to participate in any way that they can. This brought about the idea of Prisonworld BlogTalk.”, says Jenny Triplett, Co-Editor-in-Chief of Prisonworld Magazine and VP of Dawah International, LLC.
Prisonworld Records, www.prisonworldrecords.com, is looking to “change the game” and will be putting out music that is different to what you ordinarily hear on the radio. In today’s society most try to categorize music as R&B, Hip-Hop, Jazz, Pop, etc. The Prisonworld Records sound is unique, clean, universal, and fits any genre. And just as with Prisonworld Magazine, it sparks a curiosity in all that hears it. The first project, The OG Collection, is a compilation CD of love songs and feel good music. The first release, Back on the Streets, speaks about a man who has come to the realization that taking care of his family is what is important to a real “OG”. All projects are spearheaded by Rufus Triplett, Jr., Co-Editor-in-Chief of Prisonworld Magazine and President of Dawah International, LLC.
Prisonworld BlogTalk, www.prisonworldblogtalk.com, is looking for everyday people to upload their video opinion about everyday subjects. The site will be moderated by Jenny Triplett. This site is comparable to any blog site but better in the sense that it will be video generated. Everyone is invited to participate but the rules are very strict as to content. Participants will have 30 seconds to respond to the Question of the Week. Participants should be witty, strongly opinionated, passionate and entertaining.
Recently the doors to Prisownorld Magazine were opened to advertisers as well as the launch of the Prisonworld Internship Program. The program extends to the record company also giving inmates the opportunity to gain work skills and experience. By becoming an intern, inmates can gain valuable marketing, promotional, sales and organizational skills. “Many people ask, well what can an inmate do? This is where thinking outside the box comes into play. Inmates already have an established market with their peers. Everyday many of them are using sales skills without having a college degree. Sometimes it just takes a person to outline an idea on paper for it to make sense.” says Rufus Triplett, Jr.
Dawah International, LLC sees this expansion of the Prisonworld brand as a sign of the times. The developing market of the incarcerated, an unforgotten society, is confirmation that at least 1 in 3 African- Americans are affected by the prison system. It is only a matter of time when that number increases to 1 in 2. Many sons, brothers, mothers, fathers, sisters, aunts, uncles, daughters, cousins, and friends are being lost to the system. Dawah believes that keeping a positive vibe can only bring about change. For more information on the Prisonworld Internship Program, please log onto www.dawahinc.com.
