Ron Maiorana's AbstrActions Exhibit Opens July 12th at Art & Soul Gallery in Eastport, New York
Exhibit will feature abstract acrylic paintings on oversized screens.
New York, NY, July 02, 2008 --(PR.com)-- The AbstrActions Exhibit, featuring original pieces by NY native and artist Ron Maiorana, will open with a general reception on July 12, 2008, from 4-8 PM, at the Art & Soul Gallery in Eastport. With six decades of passion leading up to this gallery show, Maiorana's much-anticipated exhibit will feature abstract acrylic paintings on oversized screens.
An abstract painting is an attempt to convey a mood through the use of color, shape, and texture. Maiorana’s approach to painting usually starts with a vague thought that he works to put on canvas or window screens. After applying the thought, he lets the canvass tell him what it wants to be. At that point, Ron and the canvas enter into a partnership of abstract development.
Two of Maiorana's abstracts on canvas are in the Nelson Rockefeller collection. The exhibit will continue through the end of July.
Date: Opening Reception July 12, 2008; exhibit continues through July 2008.
Address: Art & Soul Gallery
495 Montauk Hwy, Eastport, NY 11941
