BlackWaterEvents.com Surpasses 1,000 MySpace Friends
Less than one month after launching their MySpace.com profile, BlackWaterEvents.com has exceeded 1,000 friends.
Franklin, VA, July 02, 2008 --(PR.com)-- BlackwaterEvents.com has been reaching out to locals through the online social network, MySpace.com, and recently crossed the 1,000 friends mark.
The community events site that allows locals to post their own events has been up and running for 3 months. Dozens of events ranging from We BeJammin' to Vacation Bible School, have been posted since the launch of the site. BlackWaterEvents.com credits much of their site traffic to MySpace, which happens to be one of the top 10 most visited websites on the Internet.
Since BlackWaterEvents.com is a free service to the community, creating a MySpace page was a logical advertising avenue. A handful of local area businesses have also gone the MySpace route because it aims towards a younger generation that pays less attention to regular advertising. BlackWaterEvents.com is pleased with their success on MySpace, especially considering the average MySpace user has 180 friends compared to BlackWaterEvents.com's over 1,000 friends.
BlackWaterEvents.com can be found on MySpace at http://www.myspace.com/blackwaterevents. In addition to an events calendar, BlackWaterEvents.com also features a community forum and blog. Users only need to register on the site to be able to post events and participate in the forums. Registration is free and takes less than a minute to complete. Post event and participate in the forums at http://www.BlackWaterEvents.com.
