Erie Art Museum Blues & Jazz Festival Calls for Volunteers
July 04, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Volunteers are needed for the 16th annual Erie Art Museum Blues & Jazz Festival scheduled Saturday August 2, 2008 and Sunday August 3, 2008 at Frontier Park in Erie, PA.
Erie Art Museum volunteer coordinator Sam Ansboro stated “Volunteer jobs include everything from set up, cleanup and teardown before and after the event, working with the Bucket Brigade – which collects donations to support the Festival, help in tents such as the information tent, and backstage help to ensure smooth operations.” In support of the Festival’s “Green” efforts, volunteer positions will also be available at the Festival’s bike corral to help provide a safe, monitored location for visitors to “check” their bikes in.
The Erie Art Museum is looking for enthusiastic, hard working individuals that will be able to dedicate one or two days to the Festival. Volunteers will be needed for set up beginning at 9 a.m. on Friday August 1, 2008 through Sunday August 3, 2008. Volunteers can sign up for a three-hour time slots or more during the day that is convenient for them.
Volunteering in this event is an excellent opportunity for high school or college students looking to earn community service hours. There will be breaks and a volunteer tent available with snacks and opportunities to talk with musicians.
