Indigo Joe’s is "What a Neighborhood Restaurant Should be"
Houston’s Newest Sports Pub & Restaurant Opens Its Doors to Local Sports Fans and Families Alike.
Houston, TX, July 07, 2008 --(PR.com)-- One of the hottest new concepts in family-friendly dining, Indigo Joe’s Sports Pub & Restaurant, has opened to the Houston public. The Houston restaurant, located at 1140 Eldridge Parkway, marks the second Texas location for the national brand - with six more restaurants slated to open statewide in the coming years. The first Texas Indigo Joe’s is located in San Antonio, and has quickly proven to be a local favorite watering hole and family-friendly restaurant. Houston owners – David, Linda and Michael Fontaine – hope the same to be true among Houstonians. The mother-father-and-son team chose the Indigo Joe’s brand because they were immediately attracted to the sports-themed, family-friendly atmosphere, and had long wished to go into business together as a family. “The family-style concept was exactly what we were looking for - not a dark, ‘smoky’, adults-only sports bar,” states proprietor David Fontaine. “We also love the Indigo Joe’s menu and the heavy emphasis on sports.”
The Indigo Joe’s concept, based out of California, is built upon the belief that they are “What A Neighborhood Restaurant Should Be!” Troy Taylor, CEO of Neighborhood Sports Pub Concepts, Inc. – franchisor of Indigo Joe’s Sports Pub and Restaurant –set out to establish the brand in the late ‘90’s. Taylor traveled the country, taking notes on different sports bar establishments and performing volumes of research on what diners really want. He hoped to offer a little something to please a variety of guests, while setting Indigo Joe’s apart from the fray. Taylor opened the first Indigo Joe’s just 5 years ago based on the belief that “We’re Not Your Average Joe” and that it is possible to please everyone. It’s that winning attitude that has helped the brand to grow. Indigo Joe’s is now open in 18 states nationwide, with 4 more states soon to join the “Joe’s” revolution. There are currently 22 Indigo Joe’s across the country, with many more in the works. For franchise inquiries and information, call (888) 303-JOES (5637).
The newest Indigo Joe’s offers Houston patrons more than 50 LCD and Plasma TV’s store-wide along with wireless voice boxes, Joe’s innovative personal speakers – so there’s not a bad seat in the house. With a fire pit on the patio – the same holds true for the restaurant’s outdoor seating. Patrons are sure to find the old sports bar favorites of buffalo wings and nachos on the menu, but guests may also be pleased to learn that the Houston establishment will also offer Indigo Joe’s extensive bill of fare of everything from Certified Angus® Burgers and Steaks, to signature salads and sandwiches, to baby back ribs & center cut pork chops, to unique chicken and fish dishes. Guests won’t want to miss something sweet from Indigo Joe’s dessert menu – the perfect finish to any meal. Moms, Dads and Kids alike will love the comfortable seating, above-and-beyond level of customer service, sound-proof kid’s game room and great kid’s menu. The separate pub area provides adult patrons with a full bar complete with signature drinks and 20 cold beers on tap. With Indigo Joe’s Express Lunches and Free Wi-Fi, Joe’s is also a terrific choice for a working lunch. Can’t stay? Indigo Joe’s offers its full menu for take out – grab Joe’s To Go.
“Indigo Joe’s is still young as a concept, and we look forward to being part of an expanding family,” remarks Fontaine. “We hope to be successful and open several more Indigo Joe’s over the next few years.”
Indigo Joe’s of Houston – situated next to Marriott’s Residence Inn on Eldridge Parkway – hopes to host a Grand Opening Celebration in late August to help kick off the NFL and College Football Seasons in style. No matter the time or occasion, Indigo Joe’s is a great place to hang out with friends, share a meal with your family or catch the game on one of Joe’s many TVs. The management and staff of Indigo Joe’s of Houston look forward to seeing you soon.
