BMC Messsysteme GmbH Introduces Compact USB DAQ Systems for Analog and Digital Signal Acquisition
An absolutely unique idea has been created and launched by BMC Messsysteme GmbH (bmcm) in two new DAQ products. An analog USB measuring system USB-AD and the digital I/O interface USB-PIO have been compressed extremely and integrated into Sub-D connector housings.
Maisach, Germany, July 09, 2008 --(PR.com)-- What some might consider as an incomplete delivery is the real clue. Customers who order a USB device at bmcm for analog or digital measurement data acquisition, receive a red USB cable with an attached 25- or 37-pole Sub-D connector. That's supposed to be all?
No, of course not - A "Software Collection" CD is included as well.
Everybody who is not yet discouraged and connects the USB cable to the PC, will realize that a highly compressed measurement technology and the USB data acquisition system have been integrated into the red plastic housing of the Sub-D connector.
Two types of the measurement devices in plug housing are available: With the USB-AD up to 16 analog signals can be sampled in the +/-5V measuring range with 12 bit resolution. In addition, one analog output and four digital inputs and outputs each are provided.
For exclusively digital applications the USB-PIO features 24 digital lines, which are switched between input and output in groups of 8.
With the USB measurement systems USB-AD and USB-PIO BMC Messsysteme GmbH (bmcm) have created extremely space-saving devices perfectly suitable for mobile data acquisition via USB with a laptop PC. Of course, the devices provide USB-specific features like "Plug & Play" and "Hot Pluggable".
Included with the products is a free copy NextView 4 Live! software for Windows 2000/XP/Vista. With it one can visualize signals directly at the PC and test the complete functional range of the devices.
However, the uses and features of these USB DAQ systems do not end here. The operation and free programming of the USB-AD and the USB-PIO also works equally well with Mac OS X and Unix (FreeBSD, Linux), too.
USB-AD und USB-PIO are unrivaled - not just because of their size, but also because of their price. Further information can be found on the bmcm website.
