East Bay Idol Winners Advance to Rhode Island’s Got Talent
The top three winners of the East Bay Idol talent show, sponsored by Bristol, Warren and Barrington Substance Abuse Task Forces, will advance to the Rhode Island’s Got Talent contest, to be held August 16, 2008 at Barrington High School.
Bristol, RI, July 09, 2008 --(PR.com)-- The East Bay Chamber of Commerce event Rhode Island's Got Talent will have three special entries in July, adding to an impressive list of contestants.
The top three winners of the East Bay Idol talent show, sponsored by Bristol, Warren and Barrington Substance Abuse Task Forces, will advance to the Rhode Island’s Got Talent contest, to be held August 16, 2008 at Barrington High School. Charlie Hall of Ocean State Follies will be the host for the much anticipated event.
"This is a wonderful opportunity to partner with a community agency and showcase our local talent. We are thrilled to enter East Bay Idol's top three contestants into Rhode Island's Got Talent and we look forward to the competition on August 16," said Betty Pleacher, President, East Bay Chamber of Commerce.
"Our local area task forces sponsor programs and activities designed to educate people of all ages on the dangers of substance abuse," says Ann Marie Roy, Warren Task Force Coordinator. East Bay Idol will take place on Friday, July 25th at Kickemuit Middle School in Warren. "An event such as this tends to promote self esteem with teens and encourage a healthy dialogue on substance abuse that will be a prevalent message throughout our show."
