NYC Family Law Attorney Attends American Bar Association's Joint Conference on Children & the Law
NYC Family Law Attorney – Tracey A. Bloodsaw, attends American Bar Association's Joint Conference on Children & the Law.
Astoria, NY, July 18, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Tracey A. Bloodsaw (http://www.traceyabloodsaw.com), a well-known and experienced attorney specializing in family law, divorce and criminal law, has recently attended the American Bar Association's Joint Conference on Children & the Law, in order to stay updated about the latest in the field of law and know more so that she can serve her clients better.
Ms. Bloodsaw, who practices in both New York and New Jersey, has been practicing family law for more than 10 years is always in training to remain current on developments in the area of family law. “Attending seminars throughout the country is just one of the means for staying up to date. As an active member of the American Bar Association, Family Law Committee, attending the conference on child custody, child visitation, child abuse and domestic violence was very valuable”, says the New York Lawyer.
“I found the conference very informative, particularly since it was a joint conference with psychologists, therapists and social workers who practice in these particular fields. I was able to discuss many of the most crucial issues that arise when representing parents and children in family law cases”, shares Ms. Bloodsaw. “Since I returned I have made some drastic changes in my practice, particularly in the way I prepare my cases for hearings and trials. Especially when a law guardian is appointed and an expert is ordered, preparation for forensics evaluation is much more specific.” Family law is a highly sensitive and intricate area of law. Understanding the emotional and psychological impact on all parties involved will most certainly give the attorney an edge.
The ABA’s conference was a joint conference with the American Psychological Association where training was provided on where children and the law has been, where it is today and where it is headed in the future. Although this joint effort has only been held a few times since the ABA’s inception, several other organizations will most certainly host similar conferences more frequently.
“I am very glad I attended the conference. I now feel that I am more prepared than ever to handle family law cases”, says Ms. Bloodsaw. “There, of course, will be other seminars and conferences and you will definitely find me among the audience and the participants!”, she is quick to add.
