SteadyRain Presents at Southern Illinois Tourism Bureau Marketing Workshop
SteadyRain's Vice President of Internet Strategy, Thompson Knox, presented at the "Maximize Your Ad Dollars" workshop for owners and managers of hospitality and travel-related businesses.
St.. Louis, MO, July 24, 2008 --(PR.com)-- SteadyRain’s Vice President of Internet Strategy, Thompson Knox, was one of the presenters at the “Maximize Your Ad Dollars Workshop” in April of 2008. An event geared towards owners or managers of hospitality and travel-related businesses, the workshop was organized by the Southwestern Illinois Tourism Bureau and was designed to assist business owners in better understanding how to utilize their advertising budget in creative and progressive ways.
Knox specifically discussed how to increase and manage traffic to an organization’s website and emphasized the importance of incorporating conversion tools into a site, which collect and allow an organization to build an opt-in list of prospects that can be integrated into a CRM tool or be added into a marketing database for use in future campaigns, thereby turning the visitor into a contact and, potentially, a customer.
“Many of those attending this seminar may not have the knowledge of how to successfully and cost-effectively advertise on the Web, or know who they are presently reaching with their website.” said Knox, “Simply adding conversion tools to a site can increase awareness of potential customers and, ideally, increase lead flow into the organization.”
The Southwestern Illinois Tourism Bureau’s President, jo kathmann, was very encouraged by the fact that Knox received the most questions of any of the presenters, indicating that business owners are taking serious note of what their online strategy can do for them.
