Andy Gywnn Awarded at ActionCOACH Conference
“Keep an open mind, work constantly on improving yourself, and learn how to be the best you can possibly be.”
Las Vegas, NV, July 24, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Andy Gywnn is an ActionCOACH based in Bromsgrove, England and recently won a prestigious “Coaches’ Choice BrandCOACH” Award during ActionCOACH’s annual UK, European and African conference, held recently in London.
Andy has always been interested in managing and motivating people. He has studied management with the Open University and taken courses in performance coaching, all in a bid to understand better what drives people to achieve results in their chosen business.
Prior to joining ActionCOACH, Andy had spent his professional life building up, owning and running various businesses. He saw the role of an ActionCOACH as the obvious next step and a way to share his wealth of experience with other business owners.
Andy’s geographical base is the West Midlands, Staffordshire and Worcestershire, and he draws business people from every walk of life - he works with clients involved in everything from forensic computing to property investing.
As a business owner himself, Andy knows what it is like to worry about the day-to-day survival of a company.
“I can relate to my clients as I have been there and done that,” he says. “I can help people put into place the systems, strategies and tactics necessary to turn a struggling business venture into a thriving and successful one.”
Andy says that the most common problem faced by his clients is a failure to understand how the structure of their business can determine its future profitability.
“My clients are usually working too many hours for not enough money,” he observes. “I try and help leverage them out of the business so that they can work On it, rather than In it. The end result will be less time spent working and more time making money.”
He believes that he can always help someone improve their business prospects - providing the client is open and committed to changing the way they work, and the way they behave and communicate with others.
“I function as an unreasonable friend who tells it how it is and keeps you working on the path towards your dreams,” he says.
In the future, Andy sees himself as coaching a few totally committed and passionate business owners, whilst also growing his property portfolio and buying, building and selling businesses.
Outside work, Andy is a keen scuba diver (as befits someone who used to run his own diving school) and enjoys motorcycling. Andy also makes sure that he spends quality time with his family, including his partner, Mary, and three nephews.
“I enjoy educating them in entrepreneurship so that they can make positive choices as they grow up,” he says. He also speaks at schools on the same subject.
Andy’s tips for running a successful business?
“Keep an open mind, work constantly on improving yourself, and learn how to be the best you can possibly be.”
