This enables pulse to provide speech enabled voice services based on Microsoft Office Communication Server (OCS). OCS can run self-service voice services developed using VoiceXML, hence providing easy integration and migration of any application developed on any open standard platform with minimal change. Microsoft Unified Communication is the foundation for Microsoft OCS (encompassing Instant Messaging - IM, Voice, Video and Data), and so works well within the IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) architecture.
Software as a Service has proven very successful with telecom carriers and service providers as they use SaaS vendors to speed the delivery of content and applications online.
