Claro Guatemala Launches Text-to-Landline Service with TeleMessage
TeleMessage Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Messaging International Plc, the AIM traded provider of innovative messaging services, has signed an agreement with Claro Guatemala to launch its Text-to Landline service. Claro, a subsidiary of America Movil Group, is the largest mobile carrier in Guatemala with over 4 million users. This agreement to launch Text-to-Landline services will allow Claro subscribers to send a text message from a wireless phone to any landline phone in Guatemala.

Claro, a subsidiary of America Movil Group, is the largest mobile carrier in Guatemala with over 4 million users. This agreement to launch Text-to-Landline services will allow Claro subscribers to send a text message from a wireless phone to any landline phone in Guatemala.
By enabling Claro wireless customers’ text messages to be instantly converted to voice messages for the landline recipients, TeleMessage is simplifying the communications process. The recipients can then respond by voice to the wireless customers, who will receive the reply messages in the form of a text. The wireless customers will also receive a status text message confirming if the message was delivered directly to a person or to a voicemail system.
