These fun loving, energetic electro rockers bring a playful blend of crisp, bright, plastic pop sounds to dark, distorted lyrics and melodies. Having come from vastly different backgrounds, Ryan Kelly, Nicholas Fiore and Marlon continue their east coast touring plans in the fall.
With a strong Myspace following of 48,000 fans and almost a million plays, Cordless Recordings/WMG quickly picked up Velvet Code for a digital distribution deal. The band's debut single, "Trust Fund Girl" was released in January 2008 through Cordless. Velvet Code made their national television debut in April on Fearless Music TV, winning the vote to play 2 weeks in a row. The band also was featured on Reverbnation as the #1 Electronic Act through the month of April 2008.
Velvet Code is currently putting the finishing touches on their anxiously awaited full-length, "Black. Blue. Blind". Produced by Marlon Wurmitzer, Beat360 founder Mark Saunders (Shiny Toy Guns, The Cure, Depeche Mode) and Ollie Hammett (So So Glos, Parallel Sound), Velvet Code's debut will be released on September 23rd 2008.
