Presenting himself as a man of unforgettable stature and principle, Ro has united his growing career with Alonce Music Agency to take his distinctive sound to the next level.
Washington, DC, July 28, 2008 --(PR.com)-- There is a very small amount of trendsetters within the R&B side of the music industry today that make listeners incessantly come back for more. There are many great industry trendsetters within today's R&B, but who is worthy of having their name up there in the starlight? Upcoming R&B artist Ro (also know as the Soul Diamond), has been labeled “The Leader Of The New School of Old School R&B” and is setting the pace for industry success.
Born Rodell Denard Jones, Ro was raised in the Greater Washington Area within the suburbs of Maryland. Growing up listening to “Old School” greats like Al Green, Luther Vandross, and Rick James, Ro quickly fell in love with music. During years of going through the foster care system, Ro became accustomed to playing various instruments such as the bass guitar and drums as well as his favorites, the piano and keyboard.
Early this year, Ro released his first hit entitled “Messenger” that has brought him fans from all over the world that continuously ask for more. Amazingly, his fans are from every genre of music including country, rock, and hip hop, presenting him as one of the most diversified R&B singers found today.
In May of 2008, Ro was asked by Southern Hip Hop Sensation, Southern Wreck, to collaborate for his latest album “Ballin’ At It’z Best”. With Ro’s talent and Southern Wreck’s unique southern sound, the two artists created “Bounce” and “I Got What You Need”. As soon as the song was released, DJ’s from within multiple markets started playing “Bounce” at an astounding rate.
“I was fortunate enough to watch Ro lay down his tracks on the ‘Ballin’ At It’z Best’ CD,” said Michael Singleton, who is Southern Wreck’s manager. “I, of course, believe in Southern Wreck’s talent, but watching Ro take his inner passion for music and release it onto the microphone was an unforgettable experience…every venue that considers an R&B singer for a performance should consider Ro before anybody else.”
Presenting himself as a man of unforgettable stature and principle, Ro has united his growing career with Alonce Music Agency to take his distinctive sound to the next level and carry his individualistic branding as well as his image to the world. Go Large Records International, LLC is also “in the talks” with Ro for the continuing success of the distribution of his music.
