Outskirts Press Announces The Crow’s Nest, the Latest Publication from Acclaimed Poet Karen Lynn S.
Las Vegas, NV, July 30, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Outskirts Press Inc. and award winning internationally published poet Karen Lynn S. announce the release of her first collection of poetry, The Crow’s Nest. Lynn’s raw, street savvy insights are infused into a rich variety of philosophical, political, inspirational, and existential perspectives in her debut release.
Drawing from the contemporary issues of modern life Lynn S.’ work is inspired by themes of global conflict, politics, greed, and the destruction of the environment. In her poem “Our Founding Fathers” Lynn laments the state of the nation in what is almost a requiem for times lost. While her work offers a poignant critique of American society, Lynn is also a poet who has the uncanny ability to depict those things which are most personal: solitude, sorrow, desire, the unknown. The result is a collection of work that is both inspired and accessible, exploring a breadth of topics while always maintaining a unique and sensual style.
Lynn S. adds, “I think readers will identify my passion in each of my poems as they will flow from the pages to your mind and body and fulfill your own imagination. My poetry is unique in that it balances humanity, social impact, and sense of imagination better than your average poetry books. I think that makes for a far more satisfying and dynamic book that you will really enjoy.”
Karen Lynn S. was named by The International Library of Poetry as The Best Poems & Poets of 2004 (for her adamant devotion in the poem, "Bravery"), 2005 and 2007. She has also been named as The International Who's Who in Poetry as well as being published in the 2004 Famous Poets Society-Our 100 Most Famous Poets. In 2007, she was published by Noble House Publishers in "Centres of Expression".
Karen Lynn S. has written, over the past years, children's stories and her current project at hand is to revitalize these books into perspective for future publications.
