New York, NY, April 26, 2006 --(PR.com)-- Global Knowledge Congress has scheduled a teleconference in May 2006 examining recent changes in federal guidelines regarding how processed foods are labeled.

Global Knowledge Congress, the leading producer of regulatory focused teleconferences, has scheduled a teleconference that will analyze recent changes in federal guidelines regarding how packaged consumer goods (processed foods) are labeled. The event is tentatively titled as “FDA & Changes in Food Label Regulation Executive Round table Teleconference” for May 2006.

Recently, the FDA has changed many of the rules governing how food is labeled for consumer products. Changes include: listing the amount of trans fat, notification of eight allergen groups, a new definition of "whole grain", and giving calorie listings more prominence on the food label. The Global Knowledge Congress has assembled a team of experts to help analyze these changes and their impact on the companies servicing this industry. These experts will present their findings, which include a "best practice" panel at a comprehensive two-hour teleconference scheduled for May 2006.
