Local Internationally Known Folk Artist Moves Store to Lyman Orchards
Middlefield, CT, August 05, 2008 --(PR.com)-- The Keeping Room has relocated from its original location on Main St in
Durham to it’s new location on 3 Lyman Road in Middlefield, CT, on the grounds of Lyman Orchards.
The Keeping Room, a gift store and gallery of internationally known folk artist John Sliney features Original artwork, as well as limited edition prints of his work, hand-made candles, customized art work, and much more. Art Classes by John are also available.
In colonial America, the Keeping Room was the heart of the home, the one room where people gathered to eat, cook, and work. In celebration of our country's early history, The Keeping Room offers patrons a trip to the past via artwork, prints, and the primitive-scented candles.
If you have a passion for American folk art and folk lore, visit with John at his shop and gallery -- it is well worth the trip.
The Keeping Room is located in the quaint red building on Lyman Road, next to the Lyman Homestead. Hours of operation are 10:00 am-5:00 pm 7 days a week.
