TriGearTrade.com Launches Multi-Sport On-line Auction & Community Forum
Connecting the Multi-Sport Community - TriGearTrade.com Launching Online Auction and Community Forum Website.
Frisco, TX, December 08, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Two triathletes from Dallas have launched a business dedicated to connecting the multi-sport community. Their business, TriGearTrade.com, is an online marketplace designed for multi-sport athletes to buy, sell, advise and learn from others committed to the sport.
The online marketplace is designed with relevant search category structure for triathletes. Users can buy and sell through the auction format or fixed-price formats. The site will utilize industry standard functionality to showcase products while keeping fees 20% lower than other auction sites, and no relisting fees. Customer service will be available through email and chat boards.
Trey Bennett, Co-Founder and CEO, said, "The growth of the large online auction sites has diminished the personal experience. With an advertised 115 million items on eBay at any given time in 50,000 different categories, searching for a good bike, for example, takes hours of sifting through unspecific listings. We have designed a site by triathletes, for triathletes."
A community forum, Tri Gear Talk, will complement the online marketplace and provide a place for multi-sport athletes to exchange thoughts, give recommendations about products and brands and share training techniques. The forums will include Gear Review, Apparel Review, Race Talk and a Resource Center for other aspects of the sport and competition.
Jessica Albrecht, Co-Founder and COO, said, "Ultimately, we founded TriGearTrade.com as a hub for multi-sport enthusiasts because we believe it will be a great service to the multi-sport world, instantly connecting buyers and sellers from around the globe."
Loyalty programs are designed with promotions and rebates for frequent users. Multi-sport athlete, Troy Morgan, of Durango, Colorado said "My first love is running and I got into multi-sport competitions after years of training for marathons. TriGearTrade.com helps to learn about the other sports-the gear, the races, the training techniques - from a community of qualified veterans that I trust on the course."
Founding Stores and "Power Users," with minimum items posted, will have bonus promotional benefits with additional onsite presence. Product Manufacturer, Pierce J. Pape of Yankz! said, "Important steps of integrity, such as ensuring that retailers are recognized as the power sellers and adherence to Minimum Advertised Prices guidelines from manufacturers, are a positive move by TriGearTrade.com to support retail and on-line sales of new goods."
According to Triathlete Magazine's 2006 subscriber study, triathletes spend an average of $24,408 on triathlon related purchases each year.
TriGearTrade.com Marketplace went live June 30, and the official launch of TriGearTrade.com is schedule for September 24, 2008. Further information can be found at www.trigeartrade.com.
