Morton Grove Action Party Annual Picnic

Morton Grove, IL, August 07, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Every summer in Morton Grove for a generation, just as vacations wind down and before school starts; The Action Party of Morton Grove holds their annual picnic for the residents of the Village of Morton Grove.

This year, the event will be held on Sunday, August 17th from 12 Noon thru 5pm. The location for this year's event will again be on the grounds of the American Legion Memorial Civic Center at 6140 Dempster Street, Morton Grove, IL 60053 (located between the Edens and Lehigh).

Continuing the tradition, there is no admission charge for this event. Families of all types, big and small, are encouraged to attend. There will be free food (with a just a minimal charge for soft drink type beverages). Besides the fun of seeing family, neighbors and friends; there will also be hourly door prizes, raffles and kids' games (including a pinata and moonwalk). Just so the bigger kids aren't left out of the fun, there will be a bean bag toss tournament as well. And of course, there will be all kinds of music to enjoy.
