Gotham Biotech is a new startup specializing in the development of ELISA based immunodiagnostic assays and in the non-invasive detection of fungal pneumonia pathogens, headquartered in Portland, Maine. Our goal is to design rapid non-invasive assays to support the medical diagnostics community as well as collaborate on research and development projects.
EXPERIENCED TEAM
Our scientific team has over 30 years of academic and industrial experience in the development of several immunodiagnostic formats. Our expertise includes medical, veterinary and environmental applications. We have extensive expertise in the field of rapid assay for the detection of human respiratory pathogens.
OUR FACILITIES
Gotham Biotech laboratories have the facilities to develop ELISA based immunodiagnostics and rapid lateral flow immunodiagnostic platforms. We have the resources to support collaborative efforts and contract research with other entities.
WE WELCOME COLLABORATION
Gotham Biotech welcomes collaborative opportunities with central reference laboratories interested in expanding their clinical testing portfolio. Additionally, we are interested in contract research opportunities. We have expertise in all immunodiagnostic assay formats across medical, veterinary and environmental applications.
We have expertise in developing rapid assay diagnostics including lateral flow immunodiagnostic systems.
Gotham Biotech has developed strong collaborative associations with ARUP Laboratories and the Mayo Clinic in an effort to evaluate a new ELISA for detection of Blastomyces dermatitidis antigen in urine. Our products include an ELISA for the detection of Blastomyces urinary antigen and a test for the detection of Blastomyces serum antigen.

LYME DISEASE RESEARCH
We have also worked closely with the Bay Area Lyme Research Foundation in Portola Valley, California in developing our Lyme Disease test.
Currently, we are working on promising preliminary research for direct detection of Lyme Disease and Borrelia burgdorferi urinary antigen.
Presently, the diagnosis of Lyme disease is at best mediocre and currently suffers from sensitivity and specificity issues. Currently, we are in the process of developing a rapid urine based, non-invasive, early diagnostic for Lyme disease. Our hope is that it revolutionizes testing for this disease and other endemic disease.
