Attractions Ontario, a private, not for profit
provincial trade association is proud to announce that
Dinosaur Valley Mini Golf, a member of Attractions Ontario
since 1999, was the proud recipient of the Tourism
Federation of Ontario's (TFO) first annual Tourism Innovation
Award. The Minister of T ourism & Recreation Brian Coburn
presented the award to Josephine Rainville, owner of
Dinosaur Valley Mini Golf at the TFO Minister's Dinner, at the
5th Annual TFO Forum held at the Casino Rama Hotel on
March 25, 2003.
The TFO is an umbrella group for the tourism
industry that currently represents 26 member organizations.
The Federation exists to advocate the interests of its
member associations by making representation to
government, the business community, and the public,
encouraging them to support actions that will strengthen the
viability of all components of the Ontario tourism industry and
ensure generation of increased business. The TFO Tourism
Innovation Award was created to recognize a person or a
business that hosted an innovative product which promotes
and enhances tourism in the province of Ontario. Special
consideration was given to those who had donated time
and/or resources to the community.
Dinosaur Valley Mini Golf in Greater Sudbury is owned and
operated by Josephine & Marcel Rainville. The attraction was
opened in 1998 and has since been dedicated to the memory of
their son and to cancer families everywhere. The mini golf
course is open annually from May - September and is the host to
more than 40 charity events. Visitors can chose from 9 holes to
54 holes of m ini golf set among a myriad of dinosaur and insect
models and a labyrinth of mazes. For more information please

Attractions Ontario, a member of the TFO, represents
over 240 attractions and tourism related organizations across the
province and exists assist the needs of their members and to
promote Ontario as a four season destination to the travelling
public. Attractions Ontario is very proud to have Dinosaur Valley
Mini Golf win the inaugural award and encourages everyone to
visit this and many other unique attractions this summer.
