Convene is a gathering of Christian CEOs and Business Owners helping each other excel at building better businesses, increasing leadership success, and having greater Kingdom impact. Their mission is to equip, inspire and connect Christian CEOs and Business Owners to excel in building better businesses, increasing leadership success, and having greater Kingdom impact.
Led by skilled facilitators with solid business backgrounds and a mature faith, Convene groups meet monthly to work on their businesses, and make a bigger impact in the lives of the people they touch. Each member also meets individually with their group leader (Chair) in a One2One session to work on implementing the new ideas and changes that will produce more results for the member and his or her business.
Convene members benefit from two distinct interdependent environments, Convene Forum Day and One2One executive coaching sessions, which lead to a third environment, the Convene Community.
- Convene Forum Days are local gatherings of up to 16 CEOs, presidents and business owners who intentionally work ON the most important areas of their businesses and lives.
- One2One is a personal executive coaching session Convene members have with their Chair. During this highly productive monthly time, barriers to success are explored and removed.
- Convene Community is the connections, resources and camaraderie that result from trusted relationships with fellow Convene members who live similar lives and face similar challenges.

Company History
Founded as BBL Forum in 1996 by Brian Thatcher and a group of 5 CEOs and business owners, Convene was created to meet a vital need. God gave Brian and his partners a passion for successful business leaders like themselves who were isolated and lacked the tools, support and relationships they needed to build the profitable businesses of their dreams, and at the same time, integrate their faith to make a great Kingdom impact.
Together these CEOs and business owners developed a model that combined the wisdom of successful peers, best business practices that aligned with biblical principles, and authentic relationships that God has used to transform businesses and lives for years.
Since then, we’ve been seeking God’s wisdom and continually innovating and refining our model and offerings to better accomplish our Mission, Vision and Values. In 2009, we changed our name to Convene, better illustrating our unique offering and commitment to Christian CEOs and Business Owners as Significant leaders.
