Science, Math, and Technology Center of Excellence (SMATCOE) provides SAT/ACT/ PSAT training to students, as well as math tutoring and math enrichment. The focus on the company is to stress the fundamentals (reading, writing, and math), thus securing a platform to success with students. SMATCOE offers comprehensive assessments, particularly in math, which identify student strengths and weaknesses. Material and website exercises then provide the foundation and reinforcement that allow students to master subject matter. High school students can fully prepare for college entrance exams through the SMATCOE SAT/ACT/PSAT Combo courses. Students work through a comprehensive material packet during class sessions and reinforce the sessions with homework and website exercises. Students have realized SAT score improvements of several hundred points when following the guidelines and recommendations of the program.

Company History
Science, Math, and Technology Center of Excellence was created to address and resolve the struggles have in math (particularly Arithmetic, Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, and Calculus) and to help students fully prepare for college entrance exams (SAT, ACT, and PSAT). The company was designed on the premise that students typically do not have the foundational skills to excel on college entrance exams and in the field of mathematics. SMATCOE, therefore, provides those foundational skills (frequently covering topics the students have not done for years) that allow the students to master the subject and reach academic excellence.
Founder, President, and CEO (Chris Millett) designed the college entrance exam material in 2002 and has seen it reach thousands of students since its inception. Many of those students have gone through college on full or partial scholarships as a result of college entrance exam scores. Likewise, he created the material and program flow for math enrichment in 2005. Originally designed for middle school students, he expanded the program, material, and website to include students from kindergarten level to early college level. He has again seen significant success with students who have gone through the program and followed the guidance/recommendations of the program.
Although the initial focus of SMATCOE has been in college entrance exam preparation and math enrichment, the company is now expanding into training and enrichment for the sciences (Chemistry, Physics, Biology, and Physical Sciences) and Information Technology (software development, database administration, network administration). The ultimate goal for SMATCOE is to become a STEM center, providing future engineers a platform in which they can receive the foundations for success.
