The company was originally started over 20 years ago in the Raleigh, North Carolina market and has expanded to locations throughout North Carolina, Dallas Texas and Georgia. The business model is simple, provide incredible care to residents through a cozy, compact residential care home. We have the best ratio of caregivers to residents of anyone in the market because our homes only have 6-8 residents in an entire home. The typical ratio of caregiver to resident is 3:1 providing the residents the closest, most caring service possible. This level of care and intense focus on the resident helps families feel their loved ones are safe, cared for and in the best place they could be during the later years of their life. Avendelle Assisted Living homes are based in residential homes, they look, feel and present like a regular home a family would live in, but have been fitted to be licensed and functional as a small senior home. Avendelle Dallas in the last two years has opened seven properties throughout the Dallas, Texas market and Avendelle Raleigh has expanded to 14 homes throughout the state.

Company History
Avendelle was founded by Ms. Esther Cromwell, a licensed nurse who worked extensively in the senior care market segment and realized the need and opportunity to provide better care through the residential senior care model by converting properties to senior homes. The company was started over 20 years ago and in 2016, transitioned into a national brand with new locations throughout the East Coast and into Texas. Mr. Terry Hubbard joined Avendelle in 2016 and brought years of business background and experience to the brand and business.
