The Pawtectors (also known as the PawSquad), is a year-round online, self-paced, superhero-themed, youth humane education program for kids 5-17. Our mission is to inspire and teach compassion & empathy for animals. We believe Compassion for Animals = Compassion for Humans = Compassion for All!
We're an ideal year-round HOME SCHOOL ENRICHMENT PROGRAM for animal-loving kids/teens & their families. Perfect for families, grandparents/caregivers, youth groups, public/private schools too.
Our program has 3 components:
* Monthly animal-themed learning "MISSIONS" & Compassion curriculum modules
* PawSquad Press /Community Service
* PawSquad Summer
The Pawtectors Program inspires youth to get involved year-round in their own communities to make a difference in the lives of homeless, companion, and wild animals in need. Ages 5-17 can also showcase their passion for animals as Reporters with the PawSquad Press, using their talents & voices to create animal-related stories & videos to help homeless animals in need. Age-appropriate animal-related community service opportunities are provided monthly for all youth 5-17.
PawSquad Summer is created for youth to EXPERIENCE & EXPLORE something they’re 100% passionate about! ANIMALS. This is our VIRTUAL CAMP that provides animal-loving kids weekly opportunities to virtually visit super cool animal related locations, learn exciting fun facts, engage in DIY activities, and learn new superpowers to help save animals in need.
This amazing group of determined, dedicated, compassionate Pawtectors use their combined superpowers to complete weekly rescue “missions” (lessons) and help homeless animals around the USA every day!
These SUPERHERO youth:
● Have a PASSION FOR PAWS (all animals included!)
● Have a natural CHAMPION OF COMPASSION & CAUSE personality
● Have a curious VOICE that asks questions & wants answers
● Are TOO YOUNG to work with a local animal rescue
● Want to make a DIFFERENCE for homeless animals
● Inspire their peers to do the same
Pawtectors and their PawSquad instructors inspire, uncover and unleash youth & teen superhero powers. These youth don’t always wear capes, but think it’s pretty fun when it’s all about helping animals. Pawtectors learn they do have unstoppable powers, and can make a difference in the lives of community homeless animals, as well as companion pets.
The 4 core Pawtector superhero values are compassion, community, collaboration & contribution.
The Pawtectors Pawsquad believes teaching youth compassion for animals will in turn help teach compassion for humans as well. Don’t we all want to be part of a kinder, more compassionate world? Just imagine it!
