PerfectLiving.org"Maintaining Excellence"
The NHAA has a strong commitment to building and maintaining community excellence. Through our user friendly website homeowners stay informed of local and national community affairs, 911 alerts, and special discounts provided by qualified vendors/contractors. Members of the NHAA may take advantage of our unique vendor program that is sponsored by Homes & Services, Inc, which provides contracts with trustworthy and reputable vendors throughout the United States to provide exclusive savings to affiliated members only. Such savings and unique programs may not be provided be obtained through any other venue. The utilization of our unique programs and services helps continue to eliminate illegal advertising (e.g. unauthorized signs placed on residential or city property), annoying sales calls and other unprofessional marketing schemes by illegal operating businesses; thereby, ultimately protecting the welfare of homeowners and legitimate local businesses.
"Having a Voice"
Importantly, there are many neighborhood associations without their own website. The NHAA provides that awesome opportunity to these neighborhood associations to have an online community networking center that affords their homeowners many benefits, including virtual discussion boards, etc. The NHAA constantly assists newly organized neighborhood associations with the daunting task of “maintaining community excellence”. Neighborhood associations are in fact frequently rated by the NHAA. If the neighborhood associations are performing poorly, several actions are taken to bring it to the attention of our members and their local community so that they may be warned and advised. If the neighborhood associations are performing satisfactory the NHAA will accept recommendations for awarding them and for the neighborhood to be featured in its monthly publication, “United We Stand”.
"Community Awareness"
Another important focus of the NHAA is to work hard to inform homeowners of particular local, state, and national laws, ordinances or codes that directly affect them. As a result of the numerous environmental and health regulations set forth on the local, state and federal level many homeowners have found themselves overwhelmed with the duty of being in full compliance with such requirements. A large percentage of all homeowners are in some way in violation of their city codes. In fact, public records have shown those who are in violation of certain city codes have been fined thousands and even faced jail time. To eliminate this problem the NHAA has launched the first ever Homeowner Code Awareness Program geared towards assisting its members with becoming and staying in compliance with city, state and federal codes; thereby, saving OUR MEMBERS tens of thousands of dollars while avoiding foreclosures, liens on property, and possible jail time.
