The mission of Fast Forward Restart (FFR) is to assist 500 entrepreneurs in rebuilding their New Orleans and Gulf Coast based businesses and begin restoration of the entrepreneurial spirit to the city and gulf coast communities.
FFR is a nonprofit, business-to-business program supported entirely by private funding from corporations, foundations and non profit organizations. These organizations sponsor the redevelopment of businesses located in the New Orleans and the Gulf Coast area that were destroyed by Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. Sponsor companies are partnered with businesses and receive quarterly reports regarding rebuilding progress.
Our one year support program provides the planning, information, business infrastructure and coaching that enables entrepreneurs to rebuild their businesses. Participants develop mission-critical business goals and realistic implementation plans. Bi-weekly seminars provide information about vital resources and how to acquire them. The business coaching and support program are offered on individual, group, peer-to-peer, and faculty levels.
FFR is governed by a nonprofit board and guided by an advisory panel of local and national leaders. The organization has a dedicated staff of full-time professionals, service contractors, and volunteers.
FFR has begun enrollment, initially capitalizing on connections with Business Network International. Subsequent participant recruitment will be in conjunction with various other business organizations, such as the Chamber of Commerce and local business associations.
