Launched last November, CCRC’s What a Difference a BOOK Makes campaign has a simple mission- ensure every child in the San Fernando Valley has access to age-appropriate books. Borders has stepped in for the not-so-simple part of helping CCRC collect 38,000 more books by November 29 to reach their goal of 100,000 books. This Thursday 200 Volunteers will be working hard to complete a KaBOOM! playground in just one day. Built in NEW’s Tierra del Sol, award winning mixed-use master planned community in Canoga Park and located in one of the poorest areas in the San Fernando Valley the, the project was built on an abandoned five-acre site that was once a city-owned.
