More than 800 volunteers are needed for the 2007 Special Olympics North Carolina Basketball & Cheerleading Tournament to take place in Cabarrus County Feb. 23-25. Athletes from 81 local Special Olympics programs across the state have been invited to compete in the event. Businesses, civic organizations, churches and youth groups are encouraged to get involved.
