New Book Details a Parisian Prostitute’s Story

The Roxby has launched its first ever book, A Few Gold Birds. Set in Paris 1849. Minette is a courtesan, working her way through the aristocracy for all the riches of the Second Empire. Bébé is her daughter, uncomfortable with the path carved out for her, the expectant men and the sly glances from other women.
