Providence to be Bright Again on New Year's Eve
At a press conference on December 21, 2007, Providence Mayor David N. Cicilline and Bright Night Providence Festival Director Adam Gertsacov announced the acts for Bright Night Providence, the artist-run New Year’s Eve celebration now in its fifth year. Rock icon Carmine Appice and his new drum show SLAMM! will headline the fifth year of Bright Night Providence. Appice, the drummer for groups like Vanilla Fudge, Jeff Beck, Rod Stewart, and others, will bring his "Stomp on Steroids" high energy drum and dance extravaganza to the Providence Performing Arts Center for three shows on December 31 as part of Bright Night Providence, the city's artist-run New Year's Eve Celebration. - December 01, 2007
