The Face of Feminism Now: Conversations with Feminists on Display at The Art Center in Dover, NH
Photographs of and interviews with feminists from the Seacoast area, all taken during the year following the Women’s March of 2017 are on exhibit along with the words of the participants. A reception and artist talk by photographer Phoenix Mayet about the making of the series will be held on March 24th 6-9 pm. - March 14, 2018

Join Phoenix Mayet and Pope Jones for a discussion on Art & Mental Illness. Mayet and Jones are Seacoast artists living with chronic mental illness and both make artwork that reflects on this issue. The artists will each present a slide-show featuring work that touches on how making art has helped to express and process the experiences associated with mental illness. Wrong Brain Art Opening Reception - Individuation - Recent Work by Phoenix Mayet
In recognition of National Mental Illness Awareness Week, Wrong Brain presents new mixed-media work by Phoenix Mayet in a show entitled Individuation. The work on display explores the artist’s recovery from bipolar disorder. Individuation is a transformative process which results in the integration of the psyche and the recognition of one’s authentic self. Phoenix has created works, including photographs, drawings and collages, that address her journey from sufferer to survivor. - September 25, 2017
