According to research from The Washington Post, each foot in length of a 4-foot tall snow fence can hold back, on average, 4.2 tons of snow. Any residents in rural areas with long driveways that can get blocked off fast or where roads are plowed less frequently may want to think about investing in a snow fence to keep those areas clear.
