Adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) are much more common than many realize. Before the pandemic, 1 in 3 children in the U.S. had at least one ACE. Since then we have seen a skyrocket in suicide rates, drug overdoses and addiction, leaving even more children traumatized. Reverse the Adverse is a trauma-informed professional development that teaches urban educators how to better serve students impacted by trauma.
