Governor Charlie Crist Recognizes Dunedin FL as First Purple Heart City

Dunedin Florida is the First Purple Heart City in the country. Thurs. Aug. 7, Purple Heart Park, located in Downtown Dunedin, a dedication ceremony takes place to honor Purple Heart Recipients. Representative C.W. Bill Young, a Representative from the Office of Governor Charlie Crist and many local Vets will be in attendance. Dunedin is setting a precedence for other cities to become Purple Heart Cities. This ceremony is in accordance with the National Day of Recognition. - August 04, 2008
