The Harmonizing Stars of Boston Celebrates 40 Years of Acapella Gospel Singing as the instrument that has touched souls through its music origins from the Church of God and Saints of Christ Inc. The Harmonizing Stars of Boston won the 2009 New England Urban Music Awards “Best Gospel Group.” Their 40th anniversary celebration included citations, and awards from Massachusetts Governor Daval Patrick, and the Mayor of Boston, Thomas Menino, the State Senate and the Boston City Council. - July 21, 2009
