Susan Hunter: AIDS-Orphan Veteran, Advocate and Acclaimed Author Receives Twana Twitu’s First Annual Children’s Award

Local charitable group is bringing awareness and alleviation to AIDS orphan suffering in Kenya. 80 per cent of the world’s orphans call Africa home and in Kenya, where the population is only 32 million, over 1.8 million orphans struggle. Dr. Susan Hunter has for the past two decades, devoted herself to their plight. On Saturday, June 3rd, Hunter will receive an Annual Children’s Award in recognition of these efforts to bring about awareness and change to AIDS orphan support. - May 03, 2006
