New York, NY, October 17, 2008 --(PR.com)-- New York restaurateur Tony May, President of The Italian Culinary Foundation, and the APRO/Alba Barolo School in Alba, Italy, welcome Domenico D’Agostino, Executive Chef of Boschetto in Turin, Italy, at a special reception on Wednesday, October 22, 2008 from 2:30-3:30 p.m. at The Italian Culinary Academy located at The International Culinary Center in New York City.
Chef D’Agostino’s visit to the Italian Culinary Academy is part of The Italian Culinary Foundation’s “Italian Chef Program” that was introduced to 20 top culinary schools across the United States in 2007, including The Italian Culinary Academy. The focus of the 2008 program is “The Cuisine is Italian, the Products are Regional”—the concept that while ingredients might be regional, there is only one Italian Cuisine.
Chef Domenico D’Agostino received his culinary degree from the Giuseppina Colombatto Professional Hotel and Restaurant Institute and has worked internationally in Italy, France and the United States. Following the welcome reception, Chef D’Agostino will share his innovative and exquisite cooking style in a private demonstration with students at The Italian Culinary Academy and its sister school, The French Culinary Institute.
