Optimum Nutrition Achieves NSF International Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Registration
GMP Registration with highly respected NSF International is further evidence of Optimum Nutrition’s ongoing commitment to exemplifying the very highest standards.
Aurora, IL, November 14, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Optimum Nutrition (ON), a leader in the sports nutrition industry, has received Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) registration through NSF International’s Dietary Supplement Certification program.
GMPs are regulatory requirements that provide guidelines for processes, procedures and documentation to assure the product being produced has the identity, strength, composition, quality and purity represented on labeling. NSF conducted a plant audit to verify compliance with GMPs and will conduct periodic audits at Optimum Nutrition’s in-house manufacturing facility to ensure continued conformance. GMPs for the current NSF Dietary Supplements Program are included in NSF American National Standard 173-Dietary Supplements, the only American National Standard for Dietary Supplements.
ON’s GMP registration reflects the company’s continued commitment to ensuring quality and satisfaction and gives consumers confidence that their organization operates in conformance with established GMPs. A certificate has been awarded for Optimum Nutrition’s NSF GMP registration, and the company is listed on the NSF Web site.
“By achieving GMP registration from NSF, Optimum Nutrition is demonstrating their commitment to achieving the highest quality for the products they manufacture,” stated Ed Wyszumiala, general manager of NSF’s dietary supplement programs.
“Because of ON’s uncompromising commitment to quality, we are pleased to include NSF GMP registration as yet another reason for customers to choose our products,” said Jay Jacobsen, ON’s Marketing Manager. “Requesting GMP registration from such a well respected organization was a logical choice for a company known for setting higher standards.”
Since 1987, Optimum Nutrition has been building on hard-earned reputations for quality and leadership through hands-on involvement in every phase of product concept, formulation and production. Whether the product is sold in powder, liquid, energy bar, capsule or tablet form, consumers know they are getting exactly what is stated on the label of every ON supplement.
