Spirit of Giving and Economic Turmoil Prompts Dairy Free Website to Initiate Online Giveaways
Go Dairy Free plans to offer one to four giveaways to viewers each month, with prizes that include food, cookbooks, small appliances, and other products that would be useful to general “foodies” and those who follow a special diet.
Hollywood, CA, December 09, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Tis’ the season for giving, and the informational website, www.godairyfree.org, has decided to get in the spirit by introducing online giveaways to their blogging line-up. Go Dairy Free plans to offer one to four giveaways to viewers each month, with prizes that include food, cookbooks, small appliances, and other products that would be useful to general “foodies” and those who follow a special diet. Entry will be open to the general viewing public, and no special sign-ups are required.
The giveaways will be conducted in conjunction with the blog, www.onefrugalfoodie.com, which is also run by the founder of Go Dairy Free, Alisa Fleming. Fleming began One Frugal Foodie in late 2007, but took six months off from regular blogging to finish her book, “Go Dairy Free: The Guide and Cookbook for Milk Allergies, Lactose Intolerance, and Casein-Free Living.” Once the book was completed, she returned to blogging as quickly as possible, “I knew that now, more than ever, people could really use from-scratch recipes, tips for frugal living, and product samples. No one wants to give up quality food, even during down economic times, so seeking value and homemade foods becomes that much more important.”
The first prize offerings are seasonal selections from the food allergy-friendly sweets manufacturer, Divvies. Divvies offers an array of gourmet gift packages, all of which are made in a dairy-, egg-, and nut-free facility.
