Inspirational Speaker Michael Segal Releases First CD -- Possible CD Features Stories of Hope, Inspiration and Humor and the Music of The O’Neill Brothers
Shooting victim Michael Segal releases inspirational CD containing stories of hope, humor and inspiration. Music by The O'Neill Brothers.
Houston, TX, December 24, 2008 --(PR.com)-- In 1981, Michael Segal’s life nearly ended as a random shooting victim at a convenience store in Austin, TX. His initial prognosis was not good, and Doctors felt that he would not survive the execution style shooting.
Not only did Michael survive, but through his irrepressible positive attitude and determination he returned to the University of Texas and went on to graduate with the highest honors from undergraduate school at UT, graduate from graduate school, was initiated into the Phi Beta Kappa Honors Society and the National Leadership Honors Society, and was featured in Newsweek Magazine as an "unsung hero.”
Michael married his high school sweetheart, Sharon who was with him on the night of the shooting, and they have one daughter, Shawn. Michael has gone on to work as a social worker at Memorial Hostpital in Houston and also a popular motivational/inspirational speaker.
In the 27 years that have elapsed since the shooting, Michael Segal has had an incredible journey. The CD is a collection of twelve stories ranging from humorous to heart wrenching.
Each story on the CD is accompanied by the music of The O’Neill Brothers. (www.pianobrothers.com) Tim & Ryan O'Neill, nationally known recording artists from New Prague, MN, have released 30 albums of piano music in their relaxing, signature style. To date, The O’Neill Brothers have sold almost two million CDs. Tim and Ryan perform extensively across the country, having played for several governors, as well as President George H.W. Bush in recent years. They have provided music for NBC, ESPN, PBS, and HBO television, and regularly perform live on QVC television. Their most recent PBS concert special, “Piano for Someone You Love,” was nominated for an Emmy award, and several of their CDs have hit the Billboard charts.
