Momentum Fitness Challenges Their Clients to a Healthy Heart
Momentum Fitness, a personal training studio in Vancouver BC, is challenging their clients to the "Cardio Challenge" to help raise awareness for the importance of a healthy heart. All proceeds go to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
Vancouver, Canada, February 01, 2009 --(PR.com)-- How healthy is your heart? It's a question that seems to be pushed aside in today's busy world. Momentum Fitness aims to change all that with their “Cardio Challenge,” an event held to raise awareness and support heart month.
February is Heart Month and every year, tens of thousands of people across Canada put their hearts into making a difference to the lives of others by participating in the Heart and Stroke Foundation's largest grassroots fundraising initiative - Heart Month.
Momentum Fitness will be holding its annual “Cardio Challenge” charitable event for the entire month of February. With all proceeds going to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of BC & Yukon.
The “Cardio Challenge” is put to all trainers and clients to help promote an active lifestyle. Participants are asked to choose a challenging goal that they will commit to reaching by the end of February, usually a total amount of cardio minutes. For a small donation they will be able to track their minutes at Momentum Fitness and on their own and push themselves to keep up a heart healthy routine.
The Heart and Stroke Foundation is a volunteer based organization that leads in eliminating heart disease and stroke though the advancement of research and it's application, the promoting of healthy living and advocacy.
Momentum Fitness owners Barry Duncan and Nikki Layton have raised and donated over $25,000 to a variety of charities since they opened their facility 8 years ago. They have been putting on events to raise money for heart month and the Heart and Stroke Foundation for many years.
Momentum Fitness, a training facility that specializes in personal training, has clients ranging from golfers who want to lower their score to the busy executive who doesn’t have enough time to stay fit.
