Pinellas Park South Curves Supports Community Through 11th Annual Food Drive
Curves Pinellas Park South will be collecting food for distribution to CASA, Community Action Stops Abuse, a local Pinellas County organization, as well as the local food banks. As is their custom during the Food Drive, Curves of Pinellas Park South is waiving their initial Service Fee in exchange for a bag of non-perishable groceries.
St Petersburg, FL, March 04, 2009 --(PR.com)-- During the month of March, Curves of Pinellas Park South will participate in the 11th Annual Curves Food Drive to benefit CASA (Community Action Stops Abuse) and local food banks. Collectively, over the past five years, nearly 50 million pounds of food were distributed to local communities all over the world through the Curves Food Drive. Locally, Curves of Pinellas Park has collected between 1,000 to 2,000 pounds annually.
Curves of Pinellas Park South is also giving back to the community by waiving its normal Service Fee for any new member who brings in a bag of non-perishable groceries and joins between March 9th and March 28th. This promotion will help the women of Pinellas Park manage their weight and their wallets by waiving the initial Service Fee to join Curves, while also helping feed hungry people in the community.
"The Curves Food Drive is always exciting," said Linda Beaulieu, the owner of the Pinellas Park South club, located at 5987 Park Boulevard, Pinellas Park, Florida. "We have a chance to help so many people at a time when the food banks are lowest. Especially during these uncertain times, this food is needed more than ever. It’s a win-win situation for everyone, and we’re very proud to participate."
Others wishing to donate may drop off non-perishable food items at Curves Monday through Friday during business hours through the month of March. For more information, please call Linda Beaulieu at 727-547-4727 or go to www.curvestampabay.com.
