Boca Raton, FL, March 11, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Take the Up-dogs and Down-dogs of Vinyasa flow to the next level as Yoga South’s owner and instructor James Kigar announces the Yoga Alliance Certified Teacher Training Program with a twist – graduates have the opportunity to teach free community classes as part of the curriculum. Yoga South, Boca Raton’s premiere vinyasa yoga studio, offers a 200-hour, intensive yoga certification in a peaceful, enriching and structured yoga-training environment.

“Students of our Yoga Alliance Certified Yoga Teacher Training Program develop a comprehensive understanding of Hatha yoga while learning the skills and tools to design and facilitate a Vinyasa flow class,” said Judy Weaver, Yoga South’s Director of Teacher Training. “The Yoga South training encourages instructors to share yoga with the local community.”

Yoga South’s Yoga Alliance training program
Dates: April 6 – May 8, 2009
Schedule: Monday through Friday from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM
Tuition: Starts at $795 per module, three modules available
Location: Yoga South: 3500 NW Boca Raton Blvd. #731: Boca Raton, FL

Unlike other yoga certification courses, Yoga South students develop a deep understanding of anatomy and physiology, which promotes confidence for effective and safe, hands-on physical adjustments. The program also provides an understanding of the application of yogic principals and how each posture interacts with the whole being, thereby contributing to an environment of growth and healing. Yoga South students learn and teach the ‘Edge I Vinyasa Flow,’ and understand the science of sequencing, which enables each student to create and teach an improvisational flow.

“Yoga South’s yoga training was the most fun and educational course I've taken in my eleven years of bodywork and personal training,” said Yoga South training program graduate, Nick Cress. “The instructors brought a powerful and peaceful blend of yoga styles. They have an exceptional ability to deliver information and offered hands-on assistance in postures that enabled me to grasp the depth that yoga has to offer. This course brought added peace and clarity to my life and I look forward to teaching yoga and spreading that peace and education on to others.”
