Selmarq Designs New Restaurant Logo

Charlotte, NC, July 25, 2006 --(PR.com)-- Charlotte marketing and branding firm, SELMARQ, has designed the logo and corporate identity graphics for a new restaurant that opened in Charlotte’s University area last week.

Mojo Bay, a casual eatery with Caribbean Latin influences, is a new concept developed by Charlotte restaurateur Jeff Van Dyke with Jamie Jenkins and Dave Withee. It features bold, fresh flavors in both food and beverage selections. Mojo Bay is located in The Shoppes at University Place near North Tryon Street and W. T. Harris Boulevard.

“Our focus groups were delighted by the bold, surprising flavors that fresh ingredients can add to our unique tacos and mojitos,” remarked Van Dyke. “Having worked with the people at SELMARQ before, I knew their designers could incorporate that bold, fresh experience in a logo. Of course, the design works well in a wide variety of elements, including server attire.”

“This is the fifth restaurant that Jeff and I have worked on together,” said Jeff Rothe, president at SELMARQ. “He has a strong track record for providing the right combination of food and spirited climate that attracts casual, upscale diners.”

Other dining establishments on which they have collaborated include Providence Café, Brixx Wood Fired Pizza and Boardwalk Billy’s. Rothe’s work with restaurants began in the early ‘80s with some long-established, as well as long-gone, SouthPark successes such as Arthur’s, Barley & Rye, MacArthur’s and Moxie’s, where the Jeffs first met.

SELMARQ, Brands’ Best Friend, specializes in brand stewardship and marketing design. Their association of business development professionals focuses on delivering value to company brands by building more business, enhancing brands and increasing customer loyalty.
