Stony Point, NY, April 24, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Julie Goodale, owner of Life-Cise, fitness trainer, and breast cancer survivor, will lead a "Fitness for Survivors" workshop at 10:00am, May 2, at the Women's Health & Fitness Expo in Kingston, NY. The workshop will provide information on the benefits of exercise for cancer survivors, which include helping to manage the side effects of cancer treatments and prevent recurrences or new cancers. The information is all based on recent medical studies as well as Julie's own experience with breast cancer. This workshop is geared toward cancer survivors, but is useful for everyone.

Rather than simply run people through an average workout, Julie provides useful information they can take away and use in their daily lives. Julie's goal is to empower women to take control of their fitness through all stages of treatment and beyond. She can make you laugh, she can make you cry, and she will make you lift weights.

Julie Goodale is a certified Personal Trainer (ACSM) and Cancer Exercise Specialist. Her first career was in music, but her experience of exercising all throughout her treatment for breast cancer led her into fitness. She is passionate about the benefits of exercise before, during and after cancer treatment. Julie provides training in the New York City and Hudson Valley areas, and online at http://Life-Cise.com. Besides her training and workshops, she writes about fitness and other survivorship issues on her blog, http://FitnessforSurvivors.blogspot.com. While she still works as a musician, Julie is now also dedicated to helping others stay fit and stay strong.

The Fitness for Survivors Workshop will be held from 10:00 - 11:00am, Saturday, May 2. Julie will be available during the rest of the event at the Life-Cise booth. For more information and driving directions for the Women's Health & Fitness Expo, please visit http://womenshealthexpo.com.
