You Only Need This for Summer Fitness, Reveals Chicago Fitness Boot Camp Diva
Andrea Everett, owner of D3 Boot Camp in Chicago, says she sees it every year. People who began the year with resolutions of fitness now begin to lose their commitment level. But commitment, she says, is the one thing you must possess to achieve your fitness goals. With summer impending, Everett provides tips on creating long term fitness results.
Chicago, IL, May 06, 2009 --(PR.com)-- "Most people make up excuses as to why they can’t take the time to exercise," Andrea Everett says. "I believe all the excuses are a crock, because people do what they want to do, and they make time for what they really want to do. If they really wanted to work out, they would."
Commitment has to come from yourself, the fitness boot camp owner explains. "I cannot help my members make up their minds to commit. I can support them and motivate them but I cannot choose an active healthy lifestyle for them. It has to be their decision to change their lives. That is why my slogan is "Life Changing Fitness For A Made Up Mind."
But Everett encourages that life changing fitness is possible for everybody. "There is a quote I love to share, it goes something like, 'People change when the pain of remaining the same is greater than the pain of change.' That pretty much sums up the commitment necessary to change and create a fulfilling and healthy fitness regimen."
Everett's life mission is to create lifetime fitness communities that are fun and challenging. At D3 she daily leads multiple fitness boot camps for her 200+ men, women and kids' members.
Everett says, "Having others in the same boat with you and going through the same journey is both encouraging and motivating. At D3 Boot Camp, we have fostered a family like atmosphere where people feel special and are cared about, not only by the trainers, but the members as well. We support each other towards better health and fit and strong bodies."
Everett emphasizes, "It is easier to attain fitness goals than it is to maintain them, because maintaining means you have to commit to a lifelong change. Anyone can lose 20 pounds and tone up. But only the truly committed can maintain the weight loss and muscle definition. You have to decide that working out is a part of your life. I believe it should be viewed as a part time job. You may not get a monetary reward from it but you will be rewarded with a fit body and happy spirit."
Keeping it fresh is also a critical part of keeping up the commitment level. At D3 Fitness Boot Camp, Everett is always changing workouts and adding elements. "We always incorporate new things. Like kick boxing, kettle bell training, step aerobics and yoga. We keep it fresh for our members so they will want to come to class."
Finally Everett mentions that the change of seasons can be a good opportunity to recommit to your fitness regimen. "It is a whole different type of boot camp when Chicago starts to warm up. It is great to be outside enjoying the beautiful weather, and there is also more long distance running outside, which can really rev up cardiovascular endurance training."
